Akash Patel is the co-founder and CEO of Advantmed. In 2005, Akash and Jignesh Patel founded the company with a vision of helping Managed Care Organizations optimize risk adjustment scores and quality improvement. Prior to launching Advantmed, Akash served as Chief Financial Officer for medical record retrieval, consumer electronics, and business process outsourcing organizations. In addition to his work at Advantmed, Akash serves on the board for Aluratek, a digital technology company.
Akash holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from California Polytechnic State University of Pomona and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of California. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his wife, two children, and his extended family.
Toby brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and technology environments, growing businesses, developing and implementing strategy, shaping business models, structuring partnerships, raising capital, and building organizational capability in high-growth environments. Prior to Advantmed, he spent six years at ConcertoHealth as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President and has held executive leadership positions at several other healthcare organizations, including Advanced ICU Care, Autism Spectrum Therapies, and Cogent Healthcare.
Toby graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles and received his BA in business economics.
John Spitz is the Chief Revenue Officer of Advantmed where he is responsible for the Sales, Marketing, and Client Success Departments. Prior to joining Advantmed, John held senior leadership roles at Inovalon and Constellation Energy where he led teams focused on sales, product development and execution, account management, technology, and general management.
John is a graduate of the University of Delaware and has earned the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. In his free time, he enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
Dr. Patel is a co-founder of Advantmed. He brings more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience and has spent more than 15 years building, managing, and leading operations. As Chief Operating Officer, Jig oversees our operations with a focus on continually improving and scaling our business to better serve our clients, create efficiencies, and drive results. Prior to founding Advantmed, Jig worked in operations for CVS.
Jig holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific.
Amit Agrawal is a strategic finance leader with over 20 years of experience driving growth and transformation across global organizations. He has led high-impact transactions, including a $3.6 billion acquisition and a $1 billion joint venture, with expertise in financial strategy, M&A, strategic partnerships, and innovative deal structuring across technology and financial services sectors.
Amit is a Chartered Accountant (India) and CPA (USA) with advanced management training from the Indian Institute of Management. His leadership blends deep financial expertise with a forward-thinking approach to business success.
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Khan provides clinical expertise to inform and support our solutions, our operations, and our growth initiatives. A licensed internal medicine physician with 20 years of clinical and healthcare administration experience, Dr. Khan has held a number of executive roles within a variety of healthcare organizations, including primary care centers, a diagnostic center, independent physician associations (IPAs), management service organizations (MSOs), third party administrators (TPAs), retail and wholesale pharmacy, telehealth, a clinical trials company, Medicare Advantage Part-D (MAPD) HMOs, as well as, a global FDA registered health and wellness company. He also has worked closely with CMS and NCQA.
He received an undergraduate degree from Knox College and completed his MD at Rush Medical College. Dr. Khan currently holds medical licenses in multiple states.
Lisa Marcus brings over 20 years of strategic legal and business leadership to Advantmed. She has guided organizations through growth, change and industry challenges, including 20+ M&A transactions worth nearly $3B. Prior to Advantmed, she was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Lighthouse Lab Services, and has held similar positions at Honeywell and Joerns Healthcare.
Lisa holds a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Queens College. In her free time, she enjoys trail running, traveling, and spending time with her awesome boys.
Melissa Ritz is the SVP of Client Success at Advantmed, where she is responsible for ensuring the health and success of our client partnerships. Prior to joining Advantmed, Melissa held senior leadership roles at Teladoc Health and Inovalon where she led teams focused on government payer strategy, sales, client success, product management and execution. Before diving into value-based care programs, Melissa spent several years in life sciences where she worked with Amgen, Genentech, and Medtronic.
Melissa studied Business and Mass Communications at Colorado State and Towson Universities, is a member of CHIEF, and consults young start-ups in the Baltimore area. In her free time, she enjoys audio books, hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her son and daughter.
Trina leads our global human resources function and brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience to Advantmed. Her experience encompasses a variety of companies across multiple industries and at various stages of maturity. Through her leadership, Trina drives strategies around talent, culture, transformation, and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to Advantmed, Trina led the global human resources functions for Relocity, Rexford Industrial, MarkMonitor and OpenTable. In addition, she led human resources strategy for Jones Lang LaSalle (West) and Equity Office Properties. Trina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University and is an active member in the Society for Human Resources Management and a founding member of Chief’s Los Angeles chapter.

Patrick joined Webster in 2022 as Managing Director after a 25+ year career as a seasoned healthcare investor and senior operating executive focused on payer and provider healthcare services and healthcare IT, and is the lead Partner for Value-Based Care and Payer Services at Webster.
Prior to Webster, Patrick led Corporate Development and Strategic Investment at Independence Blue Cross and held investment roles at Bain Capital Ventures and CIGNA. He has also held senior executive roles within UnitedHealth Group, ConnectiCare (acquired by Emblem Health), Inova Health System, and Renown. Patrick began his career as a CPA at Deloitte and holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from UC Santa Barbara.
Jeff joined Webster as a Partner in 2023, bringing over 25+ years of experience in the healthcare services industry with extensive operating experience, including physician practice management, multi-state, multi-site, ancillary services, hospital joint ventures, value-based care, and MSO functions.
Jeff’s prior roles include CEO and Co-Founder of Integrated Oncology Network; CEO and Founder of OnCURE Medical Corp.; CEO and Founder of U.S. Diagnostic; Co-Founder of Affiliated PET Systems; and CEO of Satellite Healthcare. Jeff began his career as a CPA and was educated at the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford.
Scott brings over two decades of business development experience in the payer and provider space, including leading organizations and sales teams to create new market opportunities and programs that improve health outcomes while reducing costs.
He is the Founder of Monadnock Consulting, LLC, providing consultative and fractional CRO services to early-stage healthcare companies. Previously, he served as President and Chief Revenue Officer at Pulse8, leading the sales team from inception through its acquisition by Allscripts. Scott also advises several PE/VC firms, is a nationally recognized speaker in the payer space, and has served on the RISE Board of Directors. He was the first member of the RISE Association focused on the risk adjustment market and currently serves on the Board of Directors for White Wilson Medical Group in Florida.
